Practicum Student

I am pleased to announce that Jeremiah Boatright, M.A.  will be joining my practice as a practicum student.  As required of his curriculum in the studies of clinical psychology, he must complete many hours in psychological test administration and treatment.  Mr. Boatright has a master’s degree in Humanistic Psychology and a great interest in Developmental and Behavioral Disorders in children, adolescents and adults.

Purpose of Practicum Student

To assist this student in accumulating his required field experience and study hours, I will ask Jeremiah to participate in clinical interviews and test administration for assessments.  He will be required to participate in the process, score data, make observations and learn to analyze and interpret the information to diagnose and recommend treatment.  This is a long process which will require many hours under my supervision.  As a professional in the field, Mr. Boatright will be expected to adhere to all office policies and procedures, follow HIPPA laws and interact with my staff and clients.

There is a shortage of mental health professionals, yet the need for mental health care has never been greater. I am pleased to be part of this practicum field experience and education in developmental and behavioral disorders.  I respectfully request my clients’ participation as well so that together we can help to educate and train the next generation of psychologists.

If your clinical situation is deemed appropriate as a learning experience, you would be  asked to sign a consent agreement to allow Jeremiah Boatright participation in your/your child’s clinical case.  You do have, of course, the right of refusal.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and participation.
